- The document was signed within the Baku Energy Week, on 2023 31 May, between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Maire Tecnimont.
- The purpose of the memorandum is to strengthen cooperation between the parties on energy issues, including renewable energy, the green energy transition and energy efficiency.
- The document also includes exploring opportunities for cooperation in areas such as low-carbon technologies, energy production from waste, green hydrogen, biofuels, as well as reducing methane emissions.
