Under the chairmanship of Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, the next meeting of the Working Group on Coordination and Monitoring regarding the application of green technologies and energy efficiency requirements in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held.

Opening the event, the Minister emphasized that the development of the liberated territories as a green energy zone is one of the strategic directions of the restoration and reconstruction work carried out under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev and brought to the attention of the meeting participants the issues to be discussed.

At the meeting, the progress of the work carried out in accordance with the tasks set before the Working Group was discussed. At the last meeting, the Secretariat's report on the executed instructions on the decisions made was heard, and information on the completed and ongoing work was given.

The sides exchanged views on the establishment of the Green Energy Zone demonstration Pavilion, which will promote the renewable energy sources potential and energy efficiency solutions in the region, and the implementation of pilot projects on the application of green technologies.

It was decided to continue monitoring on the application of environmentally friendly technologies and energy efficiency in accordance with the implementation schedule and regularly report at the meetings of the Working Group.

The meeting, which was held with the participation of the representatives from the state bodies of the Working Group, Special Representative Offices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, other state enterprises and the Japanese company-TEPSCO, ended with the adoption of the draft decision.
