Head of the Hydrogen and green technologies department of the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency (AREA) under the Ministry of Energy, Rena Humbatova participated in the "Green Day" event organized by the State University of Economics within the framework of the 5th International Scientific Conference of Researchers in the Field of Economics and Management.
In the panel discussion "Clean and alternative energy: as the main pillar of sustainable development", Rena Humbatova made a presentation on the topic "Energy transition overview" and gave detailed information about the work done in the field of renewable energy in our country. In the speech, the renewable energy potential, renewable energy, climate goals, improvement of the legislative environment in this field, and measures planned within the framework of state programs were discussed. It was reported that the Offshore Wind Energy Roadmap and the "Low Carbon Hydrogen Economy Market Research" study were prepared with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Cooperation with international energy companies on more than 28 GW "green energy" projects was also discussed, the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Partnership in the field of energy between Azerbaijan and the European Union and the Black Sea submarine electric cable project was emphasized.
In the end, the questions of the event participants were answered.
