The projects to be implemented in the field of green energy were discussed between the representatives of the Ministry of Energy, Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency, SOCAR, the United Arab Emirates "Masdar" company, and consulting companies in 5-6 June, 2023.

At the meeting, studies conducted by consulting companies regarding the development of up to 10 GW of green energy projects planned in the framework of cooperation with the "Masdar" company were presented and proposals were evaluated. The possibilities of exporting green hydrogen to Europe through the Southern Gas Corridor, the directions of green hydrogen development, the production and consumption of electricity in different scenarios, the progress of the research conducted on the possibilities of using hydrogen energy in Azerbaijan's electricity demand in the future were mutual discussed.

In their presentations, the representatives of the consulting companies provided extensive information about the production of green hydrogen using the potential of wind energy in the sector of the Caspian Sea in Azerbaijan, the development of offshore wind energy, and other issues.

Representatives of the Ministry of Energy, AREA, and AERA participated in the two-day discussions.
