An online meeting was held between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the German Energy Agency, the state body for energy efficiency and renewable energy of the Federal Republic of Germany. The event was organized to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the field of renewable energy and identify priority areas in this direction.

The employees of the Ministry of Energy and Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency, and managers and experts of the German Energy Agency.

Speaking at the meeting, Head of Administration of the Ministry of Energy Zaur Mammadov informed about our historic victory resulting in the liberation of the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and restoration of the territorial integrity of the country, and noted that both energy security and regional security will be further strengthened.

Then, according to the agenda of the event, information was given about the work done in the field of renewable energy and in Azerbaijan and the current projects implemented Concrete measures to be implemented jointly in the direction of the development of the relevant area, wind and solar energy, bioenergy, geothermal energy, the application of active consumer support mechanisms, the development of small-scale renewable energy systems, energy conservation (storage) strategies and cooperation on the preparation of road maps as well as the participation of third parties and subordinate bodies in the process of implementing the measures to be identified were discussed.
