With the organization of the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency (AREA), a seminar on "Agreeing the main terms of contracts signed with investors and minimizing risks" was held by representatives of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank group, and lawyers of an international law firm.
Aygun Zeynalova, Deputy director of AREA, who gave an opening speech at the event, emphasized the importance of agreeing contracts, minimizing the risks of the parties involved in the projects, as well as the importance of the projects being considered efficient by international financial institutions and including necessary conditions in the contracts within the framework of negotiations with investors on renewable energy projects. The presentation of the IFC delegation was heard and opinions were exchanged.
Representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Central Bank and the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency also participated in the seminar.
