The director of the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency (AREA) Javid Abdullayev had a meeting with the representatives of bp company.

The director of AREA greeted the guests and talked about the efficient cooperation with bp in the field of energy.

At the meeting, the current status of the 240 MW "Shafag" solar energy project to be implemented in Jabrayil district with bp company, the main implementation stages, and the duration and progress of the project were reviewed. Technical and commercial issues of the project were also discussed.

Furthermore, current cooperation and future prospects in the direction of the development of the renewable energy sector were discussed in the hybrid meeting.
