Director of the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency (AREA) Javid Abdullayev met with Fergus Auld, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Azerbaijan.

Director of AREA, Javid Abdullayev, wished the newly appointed ambassador success in his work and expressed his confidence that joint projects in the field of energy will contribute to the development of cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and Great Britain. During the meeting, the transformation of territories freed from occupation into "green energy" zones, measures resulting from the 1st State Program on the Great Return were discussed.

The existing cooperation and future prospects for the development of the renewable energy sector between the two countries were discussed, and the implementation status of the "Shafaq (Sunrise)" project implemented with bp was reviewed at the meeting
