- On February 5, 2019, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the French company Total Eren signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop the renewable energy sector in Azerbaijan.
- The memorandum envisages cooperation in assessing the potential for investment in renewable energy projects in Azerbaijan and creating favorable conditions.
- Cooperation under this document will contribute to the process of increasing the share of renewable energy in energy production, will allow the country to realize its interests in the development of green energy.
