- On December 17, 2022, the Agreement on Strategic Partnership in the Development and Transmission of Green Energy between the Governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary was signed in Bucharest.
- The agreement was signed by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister of Romania Nicolae Ciucă , Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán.
- The signing ceremony was attended by Romanian President Klaus Iohannis and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
