Within the 10th meeting of the Joint Commission on economic cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of Hungary, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Energy with a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, who is on a visit in our country.
At the meeting with the participation of Deputy Energy Ministers Kamal Abbasov and Orkhan Zeynalov, it was emphasized that Azerbaijan and Hungary are strategic partner countries, and the success of cooperation in the field of energy, as in other areas, was noted. The participation of Hungarian companies in energy projects in our country was discussed.
The guest expressed interest in increasing the volume of gas supplied from Azerbaijan, noting that the existing cooperation contributes to the energy security of Hungary.
The implementation of the decisions made at the Ministerial Meetings within the establishment of the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor was considered. Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary exchanged views on accelerating the establishment of a joint venture between transmission system operators.
A number of other issues arising from energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary were discussed at the meeting, in which representatives of AREA, AERA and SOCAR, along with the Ministry of Energy attended.
