On May 5, an online seminar was held between the Ministry of Energy and KBR, Great Britain. The event was held within the cooperation between the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Energy on the exchange of information and practice in the field of energy, energy efficiency and enhancement of use of renewable energy sources.
At the seminar, the experts of KBR made a presentation named the role of "green hydrogen" in the energy transition and the information about the British practice in the field of using hydrogen was provided. Theoretical and technical information on the topics such as hydrogen technologies, types of hydrogen depending on the production process, electrolysis devices for the production of “green hydrogen”, leading forces of the hydrogen-based economy, “green hydrogen” market were brought to the attention. Analysis on future targets for 2030-2050 for the production of hydrogen for export purposes, expansion of the use of “green hydrogen” in the world was presented.
The seminar continued with an exchange of views on the prospects of implementation of projects in the field of using hydrogen energy in the future in Azerbaijan, and in the end the participants' questions were answered.
