The next meeting of the Green Energy Space Working Group was held on the status of implementation of relevant measures within the 2023 goals of the Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026.

At the meeting chaired by Deputy Energy Minister Elnur Soltanov, the strategy document provided information on the activities and goals for the green energy space. The opinions and suggestions of the working group members on improving the electricity supply in the distribution network, promoting the activities of independent suppliers in the electric power system, expanding the renewable energy infrastructure, creating an information system in this area, hydrogen production area, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, carbon capture in the energy sector, ensuring energy efficiency and other measures were reviewed.

At the meeting, discussions were held on the actions and goals to be implemented in the next years according to the strategy document, as well as their full, timely, effective and unhindered solutions.

The Green Energy Space Working Group included representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the Ministries of Economy, Ecology and Natural Resources, Agriculture, Digital Development and Transport, Finance, Emergency Situations, SOCAR, Central Bank, Azerbaijan Investment Holding, State Statistics Committee, State Urban Planning and Architecture Committee, State Customs Committee, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Azersu, Melioration and Water Management, Azerenergy OJSC, Azerishig OJSC, Azeristiliktechizat OJSC.
