On 28-29 September this year, the 3rd Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum and the first International Conference Nakhchivan-Green Energy Zone will be held in Nakhchivan.
On the first day of the 2-day event, meetings of Joint Working Groups on hydrocarbon and petrochemical products, energy efficiency, electricity market, distribution and transmission of electricity, energy regulation, renewable energy use and mining will be held.
On the second day of the event, 3rd Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum and Nakhchivan-Green Energy Zone International Conference will take place with the participation of Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar. Plenary sessions on energy transition, green energy zone, Nakhchivan's green energy potential and other topics and speeches by a number of high-ranking officials of both countries are planned within the event.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum was established within the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the two countries in order to further strengthen strategic energy cooperation. The first Forum was held in Baku on 21-22 December 2021, and the second Forum was held in Istanbul, Turkey on 5-6 October 2022.
