Director of the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency (AREA) Javid Abdullayev met with representatives of the Japanese company "Komaihaltec".

During the meeting, it was stated that cooperation opportunities with Japan in the field of energy continue successfully. Expansion of opportunities for cooperation in the field of renewable energy was discussed.

Later, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between AREA and "Komaihaltec" company on cooperation on renewable energy projects. According to the document, it is planned to prepare a technical and economic justification for the project of the optimal electricity and heat supply system using the production of hybrid electricity with the application of renewable energy sources in the villages of the mountainous regions of Azerbaijan.
