Deputy Director of the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency (AREA) under the Ministry of Energy, Aygun Zeynalova, took part in the regional conference on "Creating a Regional Energy Market in the Eastern Neighborhood of the European Union" organized by the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER), held within the framework of the II phase of the "EU4Energy" program in Vienna, the capital of Austria. participated in the panel discussion "Challenges and prospects of the regional market in the South Caucasus" at the conference.

In the speech, the reforms carried out in the direction of the transition to the liberal market regarding electricity in Azerbaijan and the main provisions of the recently adopted Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Electric Power" were brought to the attention of the participants of the event. At the same time, the projects implemented in the field of renewable energy in our country and the existing export potential in this field were reported.

Aygun Zeynalova also shared her views on the progress of work and achievements within the framework of the energy dialogue with the European Union. The speech of the representative of Azerbaijan was listened to with great interest and the questions presented in the panel discussions were answered in detail.

Challenges and opportunities of regional market approaches were discussed at the conference against the background of increasing energy prices and renewable energy integration goals.
