The first meeting of the Working Group on Coordination and Monitoring, established by the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 3 August 2022 No. 459s, on the application of green technologies and energy efficiency requirements in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held.

At the meeting chaired by the head of the Working Group, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, the work to be done and the upcoming tasks related to the implementation of the “Action plan for the establishment of the green energy zone in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026”were considered. The presentation on the main provisions of the Action Plan was heard and discussions were held on the topic.

As a result of the exchange of views on the organization of the activities of the Working Group, the the role of the secretary was entrusted to Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency under the Ministry of Energy. Relevant decisions have been made on other issues discussed.

It should be noted that the Working Group includes the Ministries of Economy, Finance, Ecology and Natural Resources, Agriculture, Digital Development and Transport, Emergency Situations, State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, National Academy of Sciences, Azerbaijan Amelioration and Water Management OJSC, Azerenergy OJSC, Azerishig OJSC and SOCAR.
